Abstract

This project proposes the implementation of Motion Detector using a doppler radar sensor. Intruder detectors, light switches, and other home and industrial automation applications commonly use motion detection. The sensor used in this project is a RCWL-0516 Doppler RADAR motion sensor. The microwave sensor is connected to Arduino nano. The Arduino Nano is a compact, feature-rich, and breadboard- friendly board based on the ATmega328P, which was released in 2008. In a smaller form factor, it provides the same connectivity and specifications as the Arduino Uno board. The VIN and GND pin of RCWL0516 is connected to the 5V and GND pin of Arduino Nano while the OUT pin of the sensor is connected to D12 of Nano. The LED is connected to the D3 pin of Nano. The required code is then dumped into the Arduino.
