Abstract
Virtual firefighter behavior modeling and simulation is the key in the research field of building immersive training environment for firefighting. In this paper, methods of modeling virtual firefighter behavior with 3-D motion capture system are explored. The modeling tools, creation of firefighter character role models, capturing personalized behavior data, format conversion and skeletal animation are detail describled. The results show that role modeling by 3dsMAX, combined with firefighters personalized action data achieving by motion capture technology is a feasible option.
