Abstract

Measuring accuracy is very easily influenced by motion artifact in the measurement of pulse wave. Original pulse wave signal is processed by adaptive filter based on the wavelet transform to obtain higher amplitude detection precision and stronger motion artifact inhibition in photoplethysmography pulse wave measurement. Firstly, pulse wave is decomposed and motion artifact is reconstructed by Mallat algorithm based on wavelet transform multi-resolution analysis. Then, motion artifact is cancelled as reference signal of adaptive noise canceller. This method can eliminate motion artifact mostly without the loss of useful pulse wave signal. Accordingly the precision of pulse wave measurement could be further improved.
