Abstract
This paper uses mechanical analysis and Monte-Carlo simulation method to simulate the metal particle under the inhomogeneous electric field in DC GIL considering viscosity of SF6. The wedge plate was used to simulate the inhomogeneous electric field structure in GIL, and the motion model of spherical metal particle was established: Based on the principle of electrostatic field, starting with the gradient force of electric field, the charge amount of particle is calculated and the force is analyzed; In order to get close to the actual operation, the influence of SF6 gas viscosity is considered; At the same time, the influence of particle size and voltage are considered, the particle trajectory is simulated by the model. The results showed that the particle motion will be in a resonance state under a certain electric field, and the amplitude, waveform and size of the applied voltage have a significant impact on the particle trajectory.
