Abstract

Two modes of tobacco rod transfer between cigarette maker and filter assembler were analyzed and the movement analysis of dual binder planetary gear manipulator in tobacco rod transfer device was implemented by Pro/Mechanism, a mechanism analysis module in Pro/E, including the interference in assembling and the displacement, velocity and acceleration in mechanism movement. The motion simulation of the manipulator included the establishment of motion model, motion environment setting, movement analysis and access to analysis results. The dynamic simulation of 3-dimensional design software helps lessen the dependence of product development on pilot plant manufacture and assembling, increase design efficiency, reduce product development cost, and shorten product design period.
