Abstract

The support of the parents in the acceptance of the fetus, in recognition of their existence from the beginning, lays the foundation for the child’s healthy development and emotional security. With the Mother-Fetus Bonding Analysis method, we already have the opportunity in the intrauterine period to actively shape the quality of life of unborn children. In this article, we would like to give a brief overview of this preventive method developed in Hungary by dr. Jenő Raffai and dr. György Hidas. According to our experience, Bonding Analysis helps cope with a normative crisis caused by pregnancy, reduces expectant mothers’ anxiety, and processes their perinatal and transgenerational traumas while the feelings of love and joy toward the fetus increase and the maternal competence strengthens.
