Abstract
The current paper depicts a Moth Swarm Algorithm (MSA) for frequency regulation of Distributed Power Generation System (DPGS) using cascade PI-PD controller. The DGPS includes the renewable power generator such as wind, solar photovoltaic and storage devices like flywheel, battery along with electric vehicles. The suggested cascade PI-PD and PID controller gains are tuned by MSA technique. Here, the mastery of the proposed MSA tuned cascade PI-PD controller over conventional PID controller is established with respect to effectiveness for frequency regulation.
