Abstract

AbstractOne hundred and seventeen taxa belonging to 13 families were offered as prey to pied butcher birds, Cracticus nigrogularis (Gould) in the field. Seventy‐three species were always accepted, 34 species were sometimes accepted and a further 10 species were never eaten, although some were attacked occasionally.
