Motala Energi AB, Sweden, is increasing the output of its district-heating network and simulatneously switching from oil and electricity to biomass. The new hot-water plant is a bubbling fluidized-bed boiler built by Kvaerner EnviroPower in Gothenburg, which gives a thermal output of 27MW with flue-gas heat recovery
