Abstract

In about eight months, a new national three‐digit number to connect individuals to suicide prevention and mental health crisis counselors is set to launch, yet a staggering 80% of Americans have never heard about this number. A mere 1% are familiar with it, according to new survey results released by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
