Abstract

MoS2/PANI/f-MWCNTs ternary nanocomposite was prepared through a simple procedure, coated the same on GCE to obtain MoS2/PANI/f-MWCNTs/ GC electrode and applied for electrochemical sensing and quantification of multiple essential drugs, and food samples. For electrochemical detection of vanillin (VAN), theophylline (TP) and caffeine (CAF) simultaneously in food and beverage samples, Cyclic Voltammetry and Differential Pulse Voltammetry were applied. . The modified electrode showed an excellent performance, due to high surface area and high electron mobility. The sensitivity of the fabricated electrode was equal to 9.13, 10.63 and 9.06 μA μM-1, and the detection limit 0.021, 0.042 and 0.051 μM for VAN, TP and CAF, respectively. The main characteristics of the modified electrode were good sensitivity, low detection limit, wide linear dynamic range, high selectivity and repeatability. The work was also extended to sensing of the same drugs used in foods, drugs and beverages.
