Abstract

Cystic lymphangioma is a rare, benign and congenital malformation of the lymphatic vessels. It is usually found in the cervix or axilla. Abdominal localization is rare, most often mesenteric or omental, more rarely retroperitoneal, but it may be ubiquitary (except for the brain). The symptoms are nonspecific and the diagnosis may be difficult. We report the rare case of a 2 years and 7 months old child who died suddenly at home and whose forensic autopsy revealed a huge cystic and hemorrhagic lymphangioma of the greater omentum. The histological analysis revealed otherwise the existence of an arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy.
