Abstract

Morphology tuned cobalt oxide (Co3O4) nanoarchitectures were realized on foldable substrate by a very facile approach. Starting with bare carbon cloth, firstly cobalt oxide seed layer was prepared on it following which it treated hydrothermally for the synthesis of nanoform with different shape namely nanorod and nanosheet. Morphological features of the samples were examined by FESEM analysis. To attain the clear insight of its elemental composition EDX analysis and elemental mapping of both samples were carried out. Finally as an immediate usability of the shape controlled nanostructure we have examined their photocatalytic performance under visible light exposure taking rhodamine B dye as model contaminant.
