Bettoni, Daniela ; Fasano, Giovanni Abstract In the previous papers of this series we presented and discussed photometric and morphological data relative to early-type galaxies in several Hickson's [ApJ, 255,382(1982)] Compact Groups. The sample of galaxy groups we present here is extracted from the lists of Compact Groups of Compact Galaxies given by Shakhbazyan and collaborators (1973- 1979). These groups are often not well defined, since they have in general larger distances with respect to the Hickson's groups. Therefore, besides photometric and morphological data of all galaxies belonging to the groups, we give here a better definition of each group, by excluding misclassified objects (essentially stars) and including (in case) possible new members. Although the Shakhbazyan's groups represent a less homogeneous class of objects with respect to the Hickson's groups, the morphological properties of early-type galaxies are quite in agreement with those we found in the Hickson's groups. In particular, it is confirmed that isophotes of elliptical galaxies in compact groups are less boxy and more irregular with respect to analogous galaxies in different environments.
