Abstract
AbstractWe investigate the morphology and photoluminescence (PL) of quantum dots (QDs) in seeded three‐dimensional InAs/GaAs quantum‐dot crystals (QDCs). The QDs in the QDC show a dome shape for the second QD layer and they have a pyramid shape in all subsequent layers. The PL from the QDC with 11‐fold stacked QD layers shows an intense PL signal with narrow inhomogeneous linewidth. Both ground state PL peak energy and PL linewidth remain almost constant over the patterned area. A power‐dependent PL measurement is performed and compared with a simple quantum disk model.
