Abstract

A new transplantable tumor spontaneously originating in the submaxillary gland of the C3H mouse was studied by light microscopy. The tumor revealed three distinct types of differentiation: adenocystic carcinoma, trabecular, or solid carcinoma, and anaplastic carcinoma, which may encountered together in a single tumor. The cytological properties demonstrated that essentially two different types of cells with different degrees of differentiation constituted the tumor. Cytoplasmic inclusions were found particularly in cells forming the adenocystic parts.
