Abstract

Previous studies have examined the use of image processing techniques for evaluating the spray deposits of particulate tracers on natural and artificial targets. Compared to the particulate tracers, water-soluble tracers have advantages in both visual inspection and analytical evaluation of spray deposits. In this study, morphological image processing was applied to process and analyze spray deposit features on leaf images treated with a water-soluble tracer. This article examines morphological image processing and analysis procedures with appropriate structuring elements for characterizing water-soluble spray deposits.
