Abstract
By making the most of the counting chamber peroxidase method of Sato and Shoji, I have made a study on human red cells in cases of severe anemia. A summary will be made in the following:- 1. Peroxidase positive granules were observed in red cells. 2. The nucleus of some nucleated red cells was peroxidase positive. 3. The peroxidase picture in these pathological cases was very similar to that seen in the case of normal frog's red cells.
