Abstract

The article presents some data of a morphological research of the placenta in pregnant women with period of gestation more than 40 weeks. We examined 30 placentas in this group of pregnant women, and different disorders and changes in the microcirculation. As a result of disorders in the microcirculation there are morphological and functional compensatory changes in the placenta first, which manifest themselves with additional growth of terminal cilia and small capillaries. Further changes are characterized by the development of subcompensated and decompensated changes, which are characterized by extension of capillaries in the terminal cilia and growth of the perivascular edema. Progression of disorders leads to formation of vessel-free zones, possibility of heart attacks.
