Abstract

In this article, authors have discussed that, how doping of different materials affects the photoluminescence property of ZnS nanoparticles. Structural properties of these doped ZnS nanoparticles have been analysed by X-ray diffraction, which shows the diameter of the particles. The unique luminescence properties, such as the strength (its intensity is about 12 times that of ZnS nanoparticles) and stability of the visible-light emission were observed from doped ZnS nanoparticles. However, doping shifts the luminescence in the case of co-doping. The optical properties of these doped ZnS nanoparticles were determined by UV-visible and PL (photoluminescence) analysis. Doping also results in a blue shift on the excitation wavelength. In case of diffidently doped ZnS nanoparticles, different blue shifts are observed.
