Abstract
This study aims to identify the fungi that can accompany the Zuri fish (sp. Pilchard) from freshwater fish in Karbala / Iraq. Isolation from all parts of the body of Zuri showed two types of fungi: Rhizopus stolonifer with a frequency of 40% and 20% to the fungus Aspergillus niger. The phenotypically isolated fungi were diagnosed using approved taxonomic keys, and the diagnosis was confirmed by the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technique.
