Abstract

Morphology of the predicate in Nasa Yuwe (Paez language) Abstract In this article, a detailed description of the morphological composition of the Nasa Yuwe (Paez language of the Colombian Andean zone) is done. It is based upon the fact that in this language the main constitutive elements of the sentence are gathered together within one single word, the predicate-word, that is also the sentence-word.The morphology of so much the nominal predicate as the verbal predicate is described. The different lands of lexical and grammatical stems which can constitute nucleus of predicates are presented. Also are presented, the criteria that allow to establish the four different kinds of lexical stems of the language (nouns, verbs, verb-nouns and cualificative words), all of them capable of being nucleus of predicate.
