Introduction

The preponderance of psychological research on gay men attests to the persistent patterns of discrimination and sometimes deadly violence directed at them, with consequences for their physical and mental health [1,2]. The first discourse approaches the experience of white gay men from an asset-based perspective, capturing their strengths and challenges. Decades of research, training, and education in positive psychology reminds us that gay men of colour are more than the sum of their problems.
