Abstract
The libraries of the Western North Carolina Library Network (WNCLN) have begun exploring the implications of cooperative collection development of electronic journal subscriptions. What issues need to be addressed in facing this transition? Will it be possible for a successful model of van delivery service for printed serials to be adapted to accommodate paid subscriptions of electronic scholarly journals? WNCLN's ABC Express van service must be transformed eventually in order to continue meeting users’ needs and to comply with copyright management guidelines. Questions related to these activities will be explored and some answers will be suggested.
