Abstract

Over two fifths of junior doctors reported that their workload was heavy or very heavy, a General Medical Council survey has found. On Thursday 14 July the GMC published the preliminary results of its national training survey in medical education and training in the United Kingdom. Of the junior doctors who responded to the survey, 43% described the rate of intensity of their work as heavy or very heavy, an increase of 2% from the 2015 survey.
