Abstract

Abstract In 2014, 369 species of caddisfly (Trichoptera) had been recorded from the state of Virginia. In the last two plus years two more species have been newly found in the state, bringing the total to 371 species; Hydropsyche carolina Banks and Beraea fontana Wiggins, with the latter being the southernmost record for the species as well as a new family and genus for the state. The presence of Theliopsyche grisea (Hagen) is confirmed with the collection of a male, and further records of noteworthy collections are mentioned.
