Abstract

Summary A short resume is presented on the incidence of disease amongst children at the Provincial Hospital at Quang Ngai, South Vietnam. Case figures and fatality rates are given. The most common causes of morbidity were pneumonia, plague, bacillarydy sentery, encephalitis, malnutrition, chronic chest disease and typhoid fever. Encephalitis is the most common cause of death followed by pneumonia, malnutrition, bacillary dysentery, plague and convulsions.
