Abstract

The last chapter explored some issues regarding the metaphysical underpinnings of attributing responsibility and the concept of agency. However, there are still a number of substantial questions to be answered in this area. Chapters two and three dealt with the framework conditions in which innovations are being made and the epistemic limitations due to complexity, which social actors like visioneers and innovators that aspire to develop new technologies, faced in these contexts (Seebas 1993a, 226).
