Abstract

MoO3/Pt/CeO2Al2O3 composite oxides with various MoO3 content were prepared and used for n-decane cracking under supercritical conditions. The experiments showed that the catalyst with 8.3wt.% MoO3 exhibited the highest catalytic cracking activity among all catalysts, leading to the gas yield increased by 14.6% at 700°C, and the heat sink increased by 0.39MJ/kg compared to thermal cracking. This effect was mainly due to its relatively higher total acid sites and the highest medium and strong acid sites.
