Abstract
Paper handling technology is based on a function of the friction. Reliability degradation is mainly occurred by the boundary lubrication state by the paper powder film on rubber roller surface. In this condition, friction is said to have a large influence of the hysteresis loss of the rubber viscoelasticity in the high frequency over megahertz vibration caused by the paper surface roughness. We have investigated the relationship between a high frequency viscoelasticity by the ultrasound measuring apparatus and a friction of rubber roller by the high speed roller slip rate tester.
