Abstract
The present paper touches upon applying Moodle Learning Management System (LMS) while working with Generation Z students. The author of the paper puts forward the hypothesis that Moodle LMS is an ideal virtual setting for teaching Gen Z students. Moodle can be used in distance and blended (hybrid) learning. The given study is aimed at confirming the hypothesis. The author presents the Generation Theory, key features of Gen Z whose representatives are today’s students. An attempt has been made to demonstrate which features of Moodle LMS are close to Gen Z learners and how developers should design ecourses based on the characteristics of Gen Z and key features of Moodle platform (based on the example of the e-course of Russian created for ASUE students).
