Abstract

Monte Carlo method was used to simulate the spatial resolution of a MCP framing tube.The effects of the MCP bias angle,voltage and parameters of phosphor screen to the spatial resolution were calculated.Simulation result shows that the dynamic spatial resolution of the MCP framing tube is approximately equal to the static spatial resolution.From the simulation results,it is also obtained that the spatial resolution is proportional to the distance between the MCP and screen while other parameters are fixed.The spatial resolution is inverse proportional to the square root of the screen voltage.
