Mathematical modeling of estimated parameters for optimization of the three-axis neutron spectrometer developed at the Ioffe Physicotechnical Institute for the PIK reactor have been performed. The expected intensities and spatial distributions of neutron fluxes at the points of location of spectrometer units are reported. The spectrometer resolution function is calculated.
