Abstract
In this paper, we establish several monotonicity rules for the ratio of Laplace transforms when the ratio of two functions exhibits second-order oscillations. Before that, we first explore its discrete form, with the Z -transform being a specific case. Additionally, applications in the context of modified Bessel functions of the second kind are presented.
