Abstract

Monosomic analysis of 10 mutant loci in cotton, Gossypium hirsutum L., did not detect any new gene-chromosome associations. Twenty-five monosomic-mutant combinations, involving monosomics for chromosomes A1, A2, A4, A6, D17, and D18, were tested. The mutant loci tested were virescent-4, pale green, round leaf, glandless 2,3, Ligon lintless, dwarf red, withering bract, a new virescent mutant, and two new brown lint mutants.
