Abstract
The absolute monocyte count was determined in 100 normal individuals and in 100 patients with a variety of solid tumor malignancies. A significant elevation in the mean value for the latter group was found. Monocytosis is therefore of descriptive and diagnostic value in the evaluation of patients with solid tumor malignancy.
