Abstract
A patient who sustained blunt trauma manifested uniocular retinal hemorrhages and exudates, venous changes, and serous elevation of the macula. Fluorescein angiography demonstrated a partial obstruction of a vein. Evidence is presented against fat embolism as the cause of Purtscher's retinopathy.
