Abstract
The study was conducted to detect vegetation changes using Gioinformatics in Mayurbhanj district, Odisha. It was conducted using Landsat 5 TM, and Landsat 7 ETM, images. For the vegetation change ERDAS Imagine 9.2 was used. for raw images and Arc GIS 10.1 for creating new feature for mapping was used. The result showed that during the year 2009 -2014, there was an increase in vegetation cover in dense forest (13%). Over all, there was an increase in the dense forest vegetation cover of Mayurbhanj district of Odisha.
