Abstract

Two radio physical methods of diagnostics of the environmental parameters are examined in the present paper aimed at the development of an earthquake prediction method. Very long-wave (VLW) and long-wave (LW) signals in remote radar sensing of the Earth-ionosphere waveguide along three radio paths above seismic regions are compared and analyzed depending on the earthquake parameters. Local sensing is used to study the effect of the electrophysical properties of the subsurface medium on the characteristics of the radio channel formed by subsurface transmitting and receiving antennas.
