Abstract
The main problems of the national and local road infrastructure in the Republic of Bulgaria are the significant percentage of routes with poor and unsatisfactory operation indicators, and the significant number of road traffic accidents annually. This paper provides a summary assessment of Mobile Laser Scanning (MLS) as a means providing a package of activities that improve roads’ technical and operational parameters and increase road’s safety. It is noted that the use of MLS technology provides high-information value results, and surveying process is significantly faster and safer than that of conventional geodetic methods.
