Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent to which the government is capable of implementing sustainable practices and the obstacles that stand in the way. It useS the analytic descriptive technique to cover the theoretical side of the investigation and the pattern of microeconomics to estimate the associations between the variables (which were the subject of the study) across the period 2003–2021, which was the time period under consideration. It was discovered through economics research that the approved equilibrium relationship between receipts and expenses is a long-term one and that the causal link is one-way, meaning that the revenues are causally linked to the expenditures. This is confirmed by the findings of the economics research. After that, critical ideas are put forward for the rehabilitation of the tax sector, which is no less important than the petroleum industry in terms of ensuring that all of their rights and sacrifices are protected under fair legislation.
