Abstract

Inhaled Nitric Oxide (iNO) therapy is an important treatment in many of the adult and Neonatal Intensive Care Units. Nitric Oxide gas, when delivered via the inspiratory limb of a respiratory ventilator, acts as a local vasodilator to treat life threatening pulmonary hypertension.
