Abstract

This paper reviews the efforts expanded in evaluation of damage characteristics in a highly filled polymeric material under various loading conditions. Several different nondestructive testing techniques, including ultrasonic, acoustic imaging, and real-time radiography, have been used to monitor damage initiation and evolution processes. The nondestructive testing data were analyzed and the results are discussed.
