Abstract

Chen, H.; Zhao, H.; Qi, B.; Liu, A., and Li, K., 2020. Monitoring and identification of marine ship's driving action based on inertial sensor. In: Li, L. and Huang, X. (eds.), Sustainable Development in Coastal Regions: A Perspective of Environment, Economy, and Technology. Journal of Coastal Research, Special Issue No. 112, pp. 398-401. Coconut Creek (Florida), ISSN 0749-0208.In order to ensure safe navigation, we need to analyze the corresponding parameters of the ship. Ship factors are divided into hull structure and ship instruments and equipment. The hull structure should have sufficient strength, rigidity, stability and reliable water tightness to meet the requirements of operation and the components should have good continuity, avoid stress concentration and ensure the good performance of the mechanical equipment on it. Ship instruments and equipment include ship navigation radar, gyro compass, magnetic compass, echo sounder, log, global positioning system (GPS), ship automatic identification system (AIS), voyage data recorder (VDR) and lifeboats and rescuers Rafts, portable fire extinguishers and fixed fire extinguishing systems, etc. The normal operation and use of these instruments and equipment also provide practical guarantee for the safe navigation of ships. We monitor and recognize driving actions by using inertial sensors to assist safe navigation.
