Abstract
Since the 21st century, the urbanization process has been accelerating all over the world, and intense human activities have caused serious damage to the ecological environment. How to timely obtain the information of ecological quality and its changes to promote the sustainable development of human society is an urgent problem to be solved. The Landsat TM/ OLI images are used in the research area, and the remote sensing indicators such as greenness, humidity, dryness and heat are calculated based on the GEE platform, building remote sensing ecological index (RSEI), using the main component analysis method to conduct a scientific assessment of the eco environmental quality of 2000–2020 in Myanmar section of the Golden Quadrangle Region in the border of China, Myanmar, Thailand and Laos. The results show that the RSEI can better characterize the ecological environment quality of the region; The RSEI mean is 0.67 during 2000–2020, the overall ecological quality is in good level, showing a rising-falling-rising fluctuating trend; Ecological quality has obvious spatial heterogeneity in space, the ecological quality was the highest in the northeast, followed by the middle, and the lowest in the west and south. Using the RSEI model to realize regional ecological quality dynamic monitoring, it provides reference for the symbiotic governance goals, paths and criteria, and resource development and utilization of ecological environment governance of the Golden Quadrangle Region in the border of China, Myanmar, Thailand and Laos.
