Abstract
Objective: to know the coverage of cervical screening according to the Ministry of Health. Methods: this is a cross-sectional retrospective study of the historical series from 2007 to 2011, form Jacana-RN, with women that were submitted to cytopathology, assisted at the Primary Health Care. The results totalized 3861, which were collected by the registry of cytopathology of women 10-84 years old, and data analysis was done through descriptive statistics. Results: it was observed that only in the years 2007 and 2009 the municipality had their top goals to one third of women aged 25-64 years. Conclusion: As a result, efforts must be done to provide greater effectiveness in controlling this cancer.
