Abstract

The specific objectives of this study are: to determine the relationship between monetisation and the performance of public servants in Ebonyi state public service. To establish how the implementation of monetisation policy can bring reduction of corruption in the state public service. To find out ways in which monetisation policy can effect reduction in the cost of running government program in Ebonyi state. The researcher adopted the survey research methods, in other words an effort was made to analyse, interpret and report the present state and the relationship between the monetisation policy and the performance of Nigerian public service. Relevant literatures relating to the subject were explored to corroborate the primary data generated through the administration of questionnaire. Simple percentage and chi-square was used to analyse data generated.
