Abstract
This paper discusses monetary policy and economic performance in Ireland in the early 21st century. Based on empirical analysis, it analyzes the causes of the emergence of the Irish housing bubble with the aim of exploring whether "monetary policy is the crucial cause of the formation of the housing bubble".
