Abstract

In this article, the author relates her experience as atrustee of psychiatric patients who are on welfare or under a public trusteeship. She explains the legal context that allows her to be a trustee and the modalities of administring the patient's dayIy affairs. With the help of concrete examples, she also describes how this management, riddled with difficulties though it may be, nevertheless helps the patients. She then proceeds by giving a provisional assessment of this experience.
