Abstract

In spite of a high prevalence of chronic kidney disease (CKD) in the world curative treatment for CKD has not been established yet. Low protein diet is reported to reduce the deterioration speed of kidney function in CKD patients. Nutritional guidance provided by registered dietitians helps CKD patients to understand academic dietary regimens, however, an impact of cooking practices on the mind of CKD patients has not been clear. This study was conducted to clarify a beneficial effect of relieving uneasiness for the disease and diet therapy in CKD patients who participate in cooking practices.
